QOS rule for DNS

Hi,

DNS lookups are slow when i have high upload...
i was wondering what source i have to select for a dns qos rule if i use the dns proxy. I tried external address and internal networt but in both cases i could not see any results.

Unsure if this will work tho... Try asking ASL support.

Hi,

dont think this will work. The Proxy rules are in the AUTO_ chains, so wont be affecte by the USER_ chains, because AUTO_ comes first.

Could it be, that you ASL by itself is under very high load, that would explain the delay of the dns proxy. Because even if our line is running at maximum, the DNS-proxy ist answering very fast. (DNS dosent need much)
