IPS and MSN

Hi,

I need to block msn on some pc and other need to access msn.
I have my pc with mac address / ip control. Currently i am using IPS
chat to block msn but with this all user are blocked. How can i give some pc to access and with low priority?

Any suggest pls help.

go to intrusion protection -> advanced
and enter the hosts in IPS Network Exclusions.
but then no ips rules will match for those hosts.
it's not possible for now to exlude host just for certain rules and i think it's not planed.

In this case than the pc are execlused is not protect by aslv5 and is open to public?

no, that's not what i've said.
you can say outgoing traffic from one pc or so is not scanned by ips. or other combinations. simply thake a look at it.

those machines are not touched/protected by the IPS. It excludes those IP addresses from the IPS.

Did you try the wins proxy with local user authentication for MSN?
Works at our site.
