Is it possible to run multiple external interfaces?
I know it is possible from a fault-tolerance standpoint, but what I want is this:
Internal network -> primary external interface
DMZ network primary external interface (with multiple bound ip's)
DMZ2 network (different subnet bound to DMZ interface) secondary external interface (with multiple bound ip's, different subnet than primary)
-> = outbound
= inbound & outbound
So, essentially I would have two physical red interfaces (EXT1 & EXT2), two yellow (one physical, with two different subnets bound to it, DMZ1 and DMZ2), and one physical green (INT).
I know that I can use the Network->Routing option in WebAdmin, but I am having huge network slowdowns. This setup is working for me, but even with the proper definitions, and masq, and pf rules, I am not having success with DMZ2 going outbound.
Plus the switch I put in front of the firewall, rather than having the firewall direct connected to the fibre/ethernet media converter; seems to be slowing down my primary inboud/outbound. I am testing without the switch to see if that is part of the culprit, but I think that will only solve a portion of my problems.
Also, I am limited by the amount of nics I can put into the firewall, its currently full with 3pci + 1 onboard.
Does Astaro v5 support various 2x and 4x port ethernet nics?
Cheers
Chris
