    Some rules will have a lot of false positives. Unfortunately, that's pretty much the way it is with almost all IDS/IPS systems.

    Fortunately, you are free to turn off rules which you feel are ineffective.

    that's what i've done already. but by default it could bring you in trouble and it remindes me of zone alarm ;-)
    no but it takes a while, till it's configured well and i think the (d)dos stuff is interested and if one adds own rules.
