I have IPS enabled with the latest up2date installed. I have noticed for a while now that p2p is getting through the IPS without incident. I fired up limewire and azureus. The ips never detected a thing. Limewire uses gnutella and azureus is BT. I use BT for my linux distros and i thought it unusual when BT actually worked. Normally i have to turn off the ip2p detections for it to work. I have the latest available IPS signatures installed as well. This ties into a previous post..when is Astaro going to upgrade the snort version present in Astaro? I think the newer rules require the newer snort to be installed?
*update* I rebooted the Astaro box and now i am getting the p2p alerts. However the BT traffic and limewire still work just fine.
