No connection in the same subnet

Two people and me each have an ASL 5.200 with 3com (3c905) NICs. All are using the same ISP (cable). Here's the IP information:

(the following IPs are changend in the first 2 Bytes)

Subnet1 (external)
Net: 10.10.160.0/21
Gateway: 10.10.160.1
Broadcast: 10.10.167.255
Subnetmask: 255.255.248.0

Astaro1
Ext. IP: 10.10.166.18

---

Subnet2 (external)
Net: 10.11.96.0/20
Gateway: 10.11.96.1
Broadcast: 10.11.111.255
Subnetmask: 255.255.240.0

Astaro2
Ext. IP: 10.11.105.1

Astaro3
Ext. IP: 10.11.107.243

* Connecting from Astaro1 to Astaro2 or Astaro3 works without problems: (ping, traceroute, etc)
* Connecting from Astaro2 or Astaro3 to Astaro1 works without problems
* Connecting from Astaro2 to Astaro3 or vice versa does not work (ping, traceroute)
* Using a regular windows machine instead of either Astaro2 or Astaro3 works (using the same modem)

All of the ASL are fully ping- and traceroutable and work fine in all other cases.

Any ideas?

Anything showing in the packetfilter livelog?

Some ISPs (Adelphia *cough*) have been known to drop ICMP traffic when under heavy traffic.

Nothing showing in the packetfilter livelog.

My ISP doesn't block anything. And there is no connection possible, Astaro2 is from Astaro3 not reachable.
My first idea was, a router(instead of a bridge) is between Astaro2 and Astaro3, but I have a connection without the Astaro.

Some equipment (cable & dsl modems esp.) has to be power-cycled or unplugged whenever your MAC address changes.

Try power-cycling the router and/or any modems.

Thanks for your answer.

I have tryed many things:-), also power-cycling cable-modem, ASL etc. And I know, that one of the modems needs to be reseted everytimes when the MAC address changes.
Fakt is, it works from Win to ASL, from Win to Win, but not from ASL to ASL in the same subnet. It works fine from ASL to ASL from one to another subnet.
Everything works fine, exept any connection between these to Astaros in the same subnet.

Check the netmasks again, and then check ASL's static routing and make sure they are correct.

The external netmask, gateway and IP are assignet by DHCP from the ISP and I don't use static routes. The internal IPs are private (192.168.x.y) and has 24-bit netmasks.

I found a workaround.
I changed in one of the Astaros the external NIC, from 3com to Realtek RT8139.
