HA - Master --> Slave

Morning everyone,

in a High Availability Configuration on Firewall is the Master and one the Slave.
How is this configured or how does ASL know who is Master and who is Slave ?
Depends this on the IPs ?

    LoosInt,
    ASL HA works in Master/Slave Mode. You have to configure both machines in the WebAdmin >> System >> High Availibility. The machines will reboot after the configuration. During the reboot, the machine is looking if there is already a master, if so, it will boot into slave mode, if not, it will be the master.

    so there is no pre-defined master. the machine which boots first is the master...
