Configuring Astaro to allow secure EX2K3 traffic

I have an Ex2K3 server running behind an Astaro 5 router.
I setup an A-Record in DNS as well as an MX Record to point to my Astaro. I can send mail to the outside but replies get bounced.

Here's what I want to do:
setup my Astaro to allow OWA 2K3.
Setup Astaro to allow SMTP traffic in/out.
Setup Astaro for VPN for Exchange Mail.


Is there an extra step on the exchange side that I need to do to "make visable" exchange OWA as well as secure SMTP email transactions?

    Well, something is configured wrong on the inbound.

    Do a telnet to port 25 of your primary MX, and compose a simple message to someone on the inside to see what the Astaro SMTP proxy says. Search on this board or Google as to how to do that...

    Hey,

    setup my Astaro to allow OWA 2K3.  
    You can "public" your OWA with a DNAT-rule. A "HowTo", you can download at http://docs.astaro.org/howtos/WebServer_DNAT_Guidebook.pdf

    Setup Astaro to allow SMTP traffic in/out.  
    The ASL has the SMTP-Proxy for this. It´s easy to config the SMTP-Proxy. For beginning, you must only make a host definition from your exchange-server. This host, you must put into  Proxies >> SMTP > Profiles and domain group assignment > Route target . Likewise, you must enter your domain at Domain Groups and def. the allowed networks ("Allow relay from:").

    Setup Astaro for VPN for Exchange Mail.   
    What do you want with the VPN-connection? You want to use access with Outlook-Client from remote to your ASL?
    The easiest way to do this is, to use PPTP (Network >> PPTP VPN Access).
