MSN Messenger configuration

I recently installed 5.1 and MSN messenger ceased to work on workstations that were not defined and didn't have a rule that allowed any Service to any Destination. So, setting them up this way allows them to use MSN Messenger but I don't want them to have that type of access permanently. Can I allow MSN Messenger access to all users without defining each and every workstation and without making us vulnerable in some way?

    yes..first make all msn messengers use the same port(this is the time consuming part).
    Next, setup a service definition for the messenger based on its port.
    Next create a packet filter rule tht says >   

    Opening a hole introduces a vuln but this is one way to not overly expose yourself.
