cables-router

Hello,

My question is:
I am connected to the Wan via cables line (cables-modem)
Can I configure my ASTARO to become a router: connecting one leg to the cables-modem and the other leg to the company LAN?
This way I will not have to buy a Cisco 831 router…

  • One of the advantages the Cisco 831 has over the asl is IPSEC 3DES hardware acceleration.
Everything depends on what you want to do and how far your Cisco knowledge goes   .
If you're a newbie in both asl and Cisco, go for the ASL, much easier..... and free support
