Multiple Uplinks ?

Hi All,
Is it possible to define 2 (or more) uplinks in AstaroV5 (2Cable or DSL different providers for performance and security reasons), and (ideally) load balance the traffic between those links ?Or do I have to add a router for that purpose ?

You could also do it through ip route...stabilize (you'd really have to know what you're doing; won't be sanctioned by Astaro) but as has been pointed out, the hardware thing is easier for now.

source policy routing is also a way (but also unsupported).

ASL v3 supported multiple default gateways and therefore allowed the use of multiple uplinks with appropriate routing. Unfortunately this was dropped in v4 and above - any chance of it making a re-appearance ? It was an excellent feature.

Thank you for all your replies. Before I explore the hardware side of the story, can someone enlight me on the ip route ... stabilize thing ? I don't remember ever seing such an option [:)]

It is by no means a sanctioned option in Astaro.

Astaro uses Linux; Linux supports extended routing; the command line ip route command lets you do load balancing of TCP sessions.
