For home use, I'm running the latest version of Astaro on a Dell 2.4 GHz P4. When I plug my Athlon 64 35 Windows XP machine straight in to my RCN cable modem, speed tests consistently indicate a full 7 megabits per second downstream. However, when I do speed tests through the Astaro firewall, my downstream data rate drops down to around 2-4 megabits per second. When I SSH in to my Astaro box, my cpu usage never goes above 5% used when doing these tests. Here is a link to the speed test I am using:
http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/
One of the things the tester says when running through firewall is "The network based flow control limits the application to 3.65 Mbps."
When using Astaro with a fast cable modem do settings such as receive window need to be manually tweaked as discussed at the following URL or is there some other issue?

Does anyone else experience large drops on speed tests when running through the firewall versus directly connecting their system to their cable modem?
