Problems with proxy and ping

I have problems with new ASL, I can only access to proxy ASL with some IPs, but this IPs are changing, when I can't acces to proxy with an IP, if I ping from console to this IP, ASL says 
firewall:/var/up2date # ping 172.16.0.73 
connect: No buffer space available       

Any idea.

    What hardware?

    What do you mean the IP's are changing?

    Why are you pinging from console?
    Can you use webmin?

    Compaq Evo D310 wit 2 DLINK DFE-580-TX
    IP Changing:
    sometimes works ok with any IPs, sometimes with other IPs.

    Console:
    I log in ASL with root user and password, after I ping an IP and I receive this response.
    Webadmin:
    Sometimes I can, sometimes I can not.

    I found a solution that works for 2 o 3 hours, I change the value in files /proc/sys/net/ipv4/neigh/default/gc_thresh1, gc_thersh2 and gc_thersh3, I have change initial value for 8192, after for 16384 and now for 32768. See post #43990 in Hardware, Installation, Up2Date forum.

    Have you tried changing network cards?

    You should not have to edit the gc_thresh? files....

    What type of internet connection do you have?

    You are trying to ping actual IP addresses correct? Not hostnames?  Just wondering if DNS might be the issue.

    Sounds like your network connection is a problem.  How much RAM is in the EVO?
