How are DNS-Hostnames used ?

Hello.

When defining hosts as "dns hostname", how are those names resolved and
what happens if a defined host gets a new IP. How are those entries and
services depending on that entry refreshed ?

Especially for VPN and "static routes".

    the asl resolve the hostname with his dns forwarder (this are root server if you do not define any in the dns-proxy). the definition "dns hostname" resolve every 5min this host and correct the recommendet entries.
