2nd address on connection

I am trying to setup a 2nd external address on my astaro siystem.   It seems happy on my local network space however when I try to connect from the outside world to the nic, I get a big fat nothing.    It's like my isp is blocking traffic on some of my interfaces.   

Any easy way to prove this?

    If you want to have two different External (real world) IP addresses, you will need two separate Ethernet interfaces connected via an Ethernet switch or hub to your broadband modem. Most ISPs give out their client addresses via DHCP, so attempting to configure a 2nd address on a single Ethernet card won't work.
