Games lagg

Hi I have an ASL 5.023 Server running and its a great product.
Everything works the way i want it to except folowing.

When i play Battlefield Vietnam I get connection Probems about every 5 minutes. This didnt happen using my cheap D-link Router. Ping is usaly 40-60 and then suddenly i get connection probs for about 15-30 sec. This really sucks.

I am running the Server on an:
500 Mhz AMD K6-2, 128 MB-Ram , 16 GB 
Cpu load never hits 100% (except by a licenence change) and ram always has about 40 megs free. What is the problem here?

I am using masquerading. Really want to keep using ASL but this kinda is a pain if i cant play my favorite game.

    this isn't a masq problem as a packet filter one.

    set a packet filter rule with the BF V ports in high priority(or maybe you have only 1 rule for allow all, put it in high priority).

    the MASQ should be your computer->any(internet) am i right?

    This is my Masquerading Rule
           ALL   Any -> All / All   MASQ__Internal   None   edit | delete   
         ALL2   Any -> All / All   MASQ__External   None   edit | delete

    What a horrible port range it uses.  Whoever invented uPNP should die a painful death.

    Your MASQ rules look wrong.  Why have you got two ?
    It should be:

    NameofMASQRule  [Internal Network] -> All/All MASQ_External.

    (Or on the Edit Tab)
    Name: NameofRule
    Rule Type: Masquerading
    Network: Internal
    Interface: NameOfExternalInterface

    I doubt QoS will fix your problem.
    It may help though.

    Group all those definitions into ONE defintion rule.

    In Packet Filter Rules:

    Source: Internal_LAN
    Service:BF1942ServiceGroup
    Action: Allow (High Priority)
    Destination: Any

    Are you hosting BF1942 games?
    If so, then you will need to create a DNAT rule for the traffic and appropriate packet filters as well.
