Packet filters

please excuse my terminology i am very new to ASL

i use a ZoomX3 external modem/router
82.x.x.x ext
10.0.x.x int

this then goes to ASL 
10.0.x.x ext
192.168.125.x int

my windows mc 
192.168.125.x

i can get most services that i require Except for Bit torrent.
i seen to be able to connect with other people but they can not connect with me.As this is a intergral part of Bit Torrent i am having problems.i have a set up some packet filter rules to allow int address to ext interface and tryed the other way round but with no luck .Any help would be very helpful.if more info is required please ask and i will post.

    As Jim M pointed out, you do have to set up static NAT port mappings in through both the ZoomX3 and Astaro routers, so that the outside world can access the Bit Torrent client you are running on your PC. In the case of Astaro, you also have to set up packet filter access.

    The ports relevant to Bit Torrents are these:

    TCP port 6881 - data port - always required, as it is used for serving up data to other swarm members
    TCP port 6969 - tracker port - only required if you wish to run your own tracker when seeding your own items

    If you are planning on making extensive use of Bit Torrent technology, I recommend the Azureus 2.1.0.4 client, which has a very rich feature set. However, the Azureus client is written in Java, and therefore requires that you have the latest Sun Java run time environment installed on your PC.
