[5.023] logging of dns requests for "DNS hostname"

I just discovered that ASL is logging its dns requests for the "Network Definitions" of the type "DNS hostname" to packetfilter.log

What bothers me is the fact that my packetfilter.log is increasing even though there is no need.

Trying to ceate a "ACEEPT NO LOG" rule like
Code:

source: localhost - destination: localhost - service: dns

did not work...

Has anyone of you any idea how to turn off this habit?

not sure if it is helpful to disable 'Packet Filter/advanced/Log Unique DNS Requests' if enabled.

Hi Macarena,

thanx for the hint - I didn´t knew there was this option.

But: know I do not have ANY dns request in the log anymore... :-)
Maybe someone from Astaro could take this into consideration for some later "updates".
