qos for proxies

hi folks,

we´re listening winamp trough the socksproxy. is it possible to enable qos for the socks proxy. and another thing - is there a way to enable just certain services trough the socks? or is it generaly not possible. this would be a very helpful option so that i could bind services to user ;-)

    HI there, 

    the Linux kernel can only QoS outgoing traffic, I assume you are listing to MP3 streams from the internet, therefore limiting the sending data of the SOCKS proxy does not really help in your setup.

    To your second question, no it is currently not supported to limit the target services inside the SOCKS proxy.

    hi,

    i'm not realy sure wether the socks allows this limitation - but i'm sure there's a way - a small webmin addition - some invisible iptable rules (like for the proxies) and hey  [;)]
