Port 135

Hallo,

ich habe mich heute gewundert, daß ich im FilterLiveLog ständig Drops des Port 135 angezeigt bekomme, obwohl dieser Port nicht in den Rules geblockt wird. Habe ich hier ienen Denkfehler?

    What version? What rules do you have?

    ("Official" languages of the board are English, Esperanto, and Romanche, by the way...)

    I say it in words from another user in this forum (Wiliam):

    I think you must reconfigure your ASL. The best firewall is a firewall that blocks everything by default. You must open that kind what you need and not close open doors.  [;)]

    If you don't want to see the Port 135 drops in the logfile, create a firewall rule that drops them without logging.  What I frequently do is create a service group and put a number of ports in there, most of them Microsoft-related, and then apply the group to a drop rule.  It helps clean up the log.
