asl dhcp relay

It is configured with different subnetworks and vlans. Now we want to use a windows 2003 server as dhcp server, so asl should function as relay agent

Astaro is a router, and routers don't relay DHCP because the address being assigned would be in the wrong subnet.  DHCP relay is commonly found with bridges, where the subnets are the same on the external and internal interfaces.

I thought is was the aim of a relay agent, to ensure that subnets get the rigth ip's. Relay agents adapt the dhcp request messages. They change the source ip from 0.0.0.0 to an ip within the network (eg 10.20.0.0), so the dhcp server knows out of wich scope he should serve this client.
Well that's what I found out while searching on the net
But I guess we will have to find another solution
