Block p2p programs ?

Is it possible to block p2p programs using astaro firewall ?
If it is, please give some examples on how to do this ? either by ports or iptables ?
I'm new in firewalling.....

  • agreed.

However Syswatch please keep in mind that IDS is not perfect and the sheer volume of p2p clients/versions etc makes it VERY VERY difficult to keep on top off.

One trick i have found in general is to look at clients traffic logs. P2p programs tend to hog bandwidth at non business hours.
