"Hardening" by 3rd party IDS?

ASL V4 apparently had an option for "hardening", e.g. dynamic change of the firewall ruleset initiated by an external IDS. PacketAlarm V4.0 is such an IDS that says it can harden ASL V4.

Does ASL V5 still provide an interface for hardening by external IDS, or was that abandonned with the built-in IDS/IPS option? 
I did not find any answer by searching the forum and the documentation.
