Network Question

Hi there,

i have a net with clients in 192.168.0 and a router on 192.168.0.1 which has a permanent connection to the internet!

Now i want to use ASL to secure the net!

My ASL maschine has 2 NICs, one on 192.168.0.100 (Internal)! Does the second NIC needs 192.168.0.1 or another adress?

Is it possible to run ASL in such a net?

Bye Baschi

  • what kind of a router you have. does it have a static ip or dynamic(gets from the isp)

or you want to conig it as follows..
    router external ?
    router internal 192.168.0.1
    asl external ip 192.168.0.2/24
    asl external gw 192.168.0.1

maybe you can even use your asl instead of the router.
    more info please!
