bandwidth gone crazy!

hi all!

i've got a v4 box i manage thats sat in front of a couple of hosting boxes. its on a 100mbit circuit and recently the bandwidth has gone sky high.

i'd like to limit the bandwidth for one of the IPs behind the box to maybe 2-3mbit.

heres the usage lately of the external interface http://www.nuqe.net/misc/bw-thursday.jpg

are there any howto's, tips or hints? i dont mind adding a rule manually to iptables if need be.

the only way you can do this is at your switch. ASL 4 cannot control incoming usage as you request. A good switch can rate limit howeverjust like you want it to.

How do you know how much bandwidth a user is using??
I tried to figure this out for my self and searched this forum
but still dont get it. i did the reporting in my astaro and it combined the report into totals no report on different uses
Can it be done? What do I do???
