5.07 & Above DHCP Static Mapping

Problem Definition:
     Static Mapping for MAC addresses in DHCP not applying on a fresh install
     DHCP settings lost after disabling DHCP & enabling it again


Due to a problem with 5.06 I was told by support to backup the system and install the latest ISO.  Installed the latest ISO 5.07 & proceeded to upgrade to 5.08 there after.  After resetting up the proper DHCP settings and saving those, I entered a static map for one of my machine, it appeared to save this information but refreshing the page indicated it was not saved; the same process was tested by navigating to another page after adding a MAC address yielding the same problem.

Also found disabling the DHCP server via the web phase caused the settings to be erased when re-activated.  Again this has been tested several times on clean installs of 5.07 & upgraded to 5.08 after seeing this problem.

Thanks for the detailed report!

This is partly by design and a small bug.

We need to clear the DHCP Config if you disable it, to free the dependency to the interface.
This is needed if you want to delete it, for example.

So we won't change that.

But you were right, there is small bug in the static MAC -> IP mapping, so you can only add one.
This one will be fixed in the next Up2Date.

I just installed UP2Date 5.009 still no static mapping ??

On V5.009 I have currently three MACs listed with fixed IP address mapping assigned by DHCP. Works in my case.

Yes well Your right and I am wrong - I had a curupted dounload of up2date 009 - I had to reinstall My Astaro
It is all A OK -
