Detail of my IPS log file.

Now, I use ASL v5 and have problems with intrusion in my networks. I use Intrution Prevention feature of ASL. Then I get so many log file of IPS. How I can get deep detail than in my log file? I would like to know description, detail, and how to resolve these problems.

Suggest you lookup the IPS codes on the Snort web site ?

You can manually edit the snort.conf-default file and have it log alerts to an external MySQL database and use something like ACID for a more user friendly IPS reporting subsystem. This is my plan when I have some time to mess with it.
