pop3 problems

hy all

i'm testing the astaro v5

i got a big problem, everytime i download my 5 pop3 mails from the free-accounts ( gmx) in outlook 2000. at the last account (gmx) outlook ask me the password for the pop.gmx.net and this one is correct.

can u help me what's the problem

i had a similar issue on v5, i found that transparent smtp was turned on. (it is a known issue) i turned this off and all was fine. i also found if u get scanner errors collecting your mail turn transparent pop3 off

thx but where can i turn off the transparent smtp proxy?

my pop3 transparent proxy is on but i can't find any transparent smtp proxy

smtp is under the proxies section of the main menu. underneath the ident option

You mean http of course. Http has problems. Turn off http and pop3 should work fine. rc2 did not correct all the problems. waiting for next update.

no i did mean smtp under proxies menu. on some setups it will fail with a password prompt normally when accessed through outlook. you are right though, there are still http proxy issues
