A cron job can update the settings in the file containing the rules on a scheduled basis; but you or somebody you know should be Linux fluent and post over on the Hackers forum...
Having a cron configuration page in Webadmin would be very nice as well. [:)]
If one pursues the methodology that Astaro has used to design its Linux based firewall product to its logical conclusion, then all the features you would ever need should be directly accessible from Webadmin.
The consumers of the product, the administrators on the installed ASL sites, should never have to go in on the console command line and have to start hacking the underlaying scripts in order to get the product to perform to their satisfaction.
Unfortunatley there are thousands of users, who all want thousands of different features, and there are only so many hours in the day....
I'm sure eventually it will include many of the features people request, but care has to be taken as a product that tries to be all things to all men (or women [:)]ood....
But at least you're not screwed if it is missing a feature you want; you have a chance of enhancing it, without having to take on putting together and support such a product from scratch...
