help on webmail please!

Hello,

I am running WEBSTAR (webserver, webmail) BOX 192.168.1.200 (Windows 2000 Adv Server) which is behind my ASL within my internal network. So far I got my Http and FTP configured so anyone from external can access fine. However, internal use can access external websites but not the sites in my webserver. And my webmail doesn’t work. I can not send e-mails in and can’t receive e-mail. I am not clear on how to get my mail server communicating properly so I can send and receive emails. So far I have enabled the SMTP proxy,  and setup my MX record on the  DNS provider’s server. I have a static IP (66.14.xx.xx) on my ASL's External Interface from my ISP (ADL modem). I have registered this IP to reflect to my domain name at Ihave.com. All I want is to Send and Receive emails on the mail server for my domain. Can somebody PLEASE help me?

Web_server define as: 192.168.200
SMTP:
Hostname(MX): mail.Ihave.com
Postmaster address: XX@XXXX
Max page

Incomping mail
Ihave.com     smtp host name: web_server

Mail.Ihave.com point to 66.14.xx.xx my external_interface.

Could you tell me what I did wrong? What steps do I miss? Please!

    can anybody please help me?

    If I have two domain receiving messages, shall I set up my smtp proxy like adomain.com->webmailhost, bdomain.com->webmailhost.

    Sounds like a domain name issue at first blush; ping by name the web mail server that you are trying to reach (enable pings on the ICMP section of the firewall) to arrive at a better understanding of the problem.

    Yes, all my internal and DMZ uses private IP (192.168.xx.x) 
    I have added DNAT rules and packet filter rules for DNS and SMTP. I have also disabled the DNS Proxy on ASL. My DNS and Exchange server seems to work just fine now. [:)]

    I am new in firewall and networking. could you give me a solid example how to do that? Really appreciate  your reply. 

    my web server and mail server are in the same box at 192.168.8.200.

    Does your setup use IMAP for webmail ? If so then you would need to configure it to pass thru ASL. IMAP uses port 143 I am not sure the setup of your webmail service but most use IMAP and to get that working then you would need to create rules to allow it.

    now I am able to receive e-mails but I am not able to send e-mail out? I read some one post talking about outgoing e-mail problem. but I can not find any solution. Can anyone help?

    one other thing, I am not able to visit the web sites on my webserver internally, but I can visit by ip address and can visit from outside?

    Someone please help, that thing is driving me banana. sometimes I setup the rules, it takes several hours to take effected. I don't know what is wrong?

    In your web browser's proxy settings, there is an entry field where you can enter the domain names of servers that you wish to access directly, without going through the Squid proxy. Enter the names of the web servers on your Internal network in this field. 

    The Squid proxy cache in ASL works fine when caching web servers that are out beyond the External Interface, but it has problems with web servers on the Internal network.
