A high jump in "Total Concurrent Connections"

Hi
I'm wondering how I can track the reason for a high jump in total concurrent connections from thorugh my Astaro...I just noticed a high count of about 2200 earlier today (it reversed to normal straight away)...whereas it's normally around 100-200. I already took a look at the kernel, proxy and smtp logfiles and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary there. Any ideas?
I'm running 4.021.

best regards,
HH

  • Look in Network--->Connection  Tracking to see what they are, and what IP addresses are creating them.

Web browsing with many DNS lookups and multifile (folder) FTP transfers can create a large number of open connections between the same two IP addresses.

The connections will eventually time out. A reboot will clear them immediately.
