I'm currently evaluating Astaro for use as a firewall/VPN solution, and I'm actually enjoying the easy-to-use configuration tools. Setting up most services were a breeze, but there is one slightly annoying thing about this setup that I have created...
Our previous firewall (a Netlink device) allowed us to use the external IP or domain name to connect to the servers inside the firewall. That way, mail users didn't have to reconfigure their applications when moving their laptops from the office to other locations. Neat, and very PHB friendly.
However - after switching to Astaro, connections made that way are stopped. The packet filtering log shows no information at all about what happened with that information.
Running Astaro 4.0.21.
