I have a irc server

I have a irc server and now i want it on internet. I have ASL 4.015 installd here. I have tryed to get it on internet but i have my local ip from firewall then i conct my irc server. Can anybody help me how i set up so i have my ISP ip when i conect my irc server.

What you need to do is setup a DNAT rule to forward all incoming traffic on port 6667 to the address of your irc server. You next need to go to your packet filter rules at let in traffic on port 6667 to your irc server.

would say that most servers listen on tcp/6666, but as a matter of fact 6665-6669 tcp/udp is reserved.

Most IRCs are setup to use 6660-6670; 7000; 7100; 8000; 8888; 9000 and 9999, sorry to say I can't remember which of those ports are used for server linking & services linking. I want to say it's 7100,8888, and 9999 are just for the linking, all the rest are for clients.
