I want to open the firewall so I can use the update service and registration service for win2003 server. Can anyone please tell me sorce and destination ports for these services?
I have heard it was HTTPS/443 and HTTP/80 (which you probably have open already). In any case, open up the packet filter live log (Menu: / Packet Filter / Filter Livelog / Open live packet filter log) and watch what packets get blocked (assuming that you are logging the drops), and open them up accordingly.
Better yet, replace it with an opensource server (*BSD, Linux, etc) and skip activation altogether.
