High CPU peak

Hi all,

I'm new to the Astaro firewall and to this board aswell.

If I go to Reporting -> Hardware I see the usage of my CPU. The normal usage is about 8% but serval times a day the CPU peaks up to 100% Could anybody explain why there is this huge difference?

Another question; Also in Reporting -> Network I see the number of connections though the Astaro. At the momemt there's a maximum of only 1057, is there any way to raise this number?

Every night the reportings are generated from the logfiles - for example. This prozessing is the 100%CPU. But this prozess is started with low priority to not decrease the performance of the ASL.

Do you have any idea how I raise the maximum allowed connections?

That depends on the license you have. Sorry, no way to change that manualy.

think the hoemuse license which is equal to the office version is good for 16.000 concurrent connections according to /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_conntrack_max

Thanks guys ...

As cyclops said /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_conntrack_max
showed 16000. So I believe the number I refered to is the max connections I've used?
