FTP forwarding failure?

My Server can't be reached by ftp correctly. The connection takes a long time. When i start my FTP Program, it takes nearly a minute to connect?! The problem is that the connection on the ip is done, but the reponse is slow. The Server ist in the DMZ and the Client in the local network.

When you say the response is slow, you mean you connect to the FTP server quickly, but nothing is returned from the server for about a minute? For troubleshooting purposes, have you opened up the firewall rules (any any allow, if this is possible in your environment) to see if the problem goes away?

Also, have you tried turning on passive mode on the FTP client to see if that helps?

I found the reason. I had to accept the Service "IDENT". Thanx despite.

Passive mode doesn't help. The first connection takes too long.
