Hello together (OFF TOPIC STORY)
This is a short and funny story what can happened also with Astaro.
On Friday a small company ask me for install a new and real Firewall System – for purchase first – and better than a small black box or something like “Schlangenöl Software” like Personal Firewalls.
I have very good experience with Astaro so this is my favourite and a good offer.
So far so good. Install Astaro on a old PIII with 1 GHz – Fast and no problem at all.
Easy to use Rule settings and I think that’s all…. until now…
This morning I boot up my computer – and wondered what going wrong with the e-mail client.
“You have 16XXX new Mails” 16000?? Yes … message like “port scan detected from…”
Upps – I didn’t know that a couple of people in the company use file share like e-donkey…
Socks were enabling – but I think they didn’t use it.
And CPU was up to 95%.
I think a company must have a real Security Concept. Otherwise a Firewall takes no effect for Security. Finally I Hope they will disable or forbidden File sharing until Monday.
And I never will set my email as forwarder for errors... [;)])
