how to filter ....

dynamic domain name without using a ip i.e.:

i have a bunch of dailin123.bla.domin.suckers.com  and dailin1234.bla.suckers.com. 

how can i filterm them out without using  ip adress(es) ? i
is there a solution for that ?

    Not that I am aware of (Could be wrong of couse).   Best chance would be to determine what IP range has been assigned to the domain and block based on that.  

    Anyway, would you really want to do reverse DNS lookups on every incoming packet?

    no .. not for all. but  the dialin user become more and more a problem
    for me... and i don´t like blocking complete networks.. but thats what i have to do. block ip ranges to get matches, most come with 1.2.3.4
    after that 1.2.3.5 etc ... you know , thats ..... 

    i´ve got many .t-dialin.de etc. scans , connects, probes, hack attemps etc.
    from those dailin and dynamic dsl line accounts, so  i´am getting realy p** off .

    for those , a lookup for each packes would be very nice ... yes...
