Packet-Filter Drops

Hi,
are packet-filter-drops also counted in the interface statistics , which you can see with an ifconfig ethx , for example ?
I ask me, if drops in the interface statistics, are network based drops or drops from the packet-filter-ruleset !!!

I think those are two completly different things. You should have very few drops on the NIC interface but could have lots of filter drops.
