Loosing connectivity after a few days

Hello,

I have ASL 3.216 and an old Pentium I.
On ASL ist running the proxy and I've got set a rule which allows POP and SMTP. ICMP-forwarding is also allowed.
After 1 or 2 days, I can't reach the eMail-Server. But I can surf over the proxy.
The Pings to my mail-Server are lost, too.

After Rebooting the ASL, I can Ping and reach the pop and smtp again.

What could it be?

How much RAM do ou have?

128 MB-SD-RAM
and the CPU is a AMD K6 - not a PI. Sorry

Hi Kerstin,

after the last rebbot, I've configured a new rule.
(Drop any from any to 255.255.255.255)

Now, the period of running without failure was nearly two weeks.

Today, the error occured again.
I looked at the TCP-Pakets with TCPDUMP on the interal eth and could see, that the POP3-Paket could go outside. But no answer arrived.
The liveLog did not register new entries while try to get new mail :-(
After a new reebot, it works fine.
