PPPoE - can not browse

need help to configure ASL (routing?)

setup :  dsl modem  10.0.0.2
ASL - ext. eth1 PPPoE, static 10.0.0.202   GW - static 10.0.0.2
INT - eth0 192.168.2.100
proxy - off, PFiler - allows all.
LAN 192.168.2.0   GW 192.168.2.100

i conf. Masquerading NAT of eth0_net  with eth1

I can ping from ASL (so, line is ok and I’m authenticate ok) but can not browse or ping LAN. Even more - DSL router is not reachable. I tried to tracert  to modem – traffic goes into PPP tunnel…  what’s missing? Any routes?

Looks like your router is doing MASQ.  So you need to do MASQ as well which it sounds like you did.  That should be fine but you also need DNS.  Best to use ASL's DNS proxy and setting the Forwarders to what the ISP tells you to use.  Then internal users use ASL as the primary DNS.

Pinging isn't a good test until you set the ping/icmp to your liking in ASL.  First key is if you can resolve DNS.

i can ping from ASL (i have set up proper ICMP on ALS), DNS also works on ASL, as well as from LAN via ASL DNS proxy. still - i would like to browse without http proxy on ASL.... [:O]

So you can resolve any hostname from the inside? Sounds like you only need to set-up a MASQ rule. -->-->Masq You don't need a proxy for each protocol.
