Hi i found a new problem wiith the astaro box v4 when using vlan tagging.
It actuali wotks.. i use a astaro 4 with multiple vlans (7) with after it a cisco catalyst 2924. Al my servers are in a perfect vlan but...
when i ping my server from over the internet since i've put them in the vlan the ping times are a bit dfferent... they went from 20ms to pings now ranging from 20 for about 2-3 pings then a few of 500ms then 20 again then again 500 an so on... it's not only the ping times but also the overal traffic feels this..
for example ssh.. i type verry fast all the letters are on screen instantly and then after a few secs, when the ping time go up ... letters halted a come verry slow... and then after the bad pings ok agiain...
I also tested it on a cisco catalyst 5505 with a superrvisor 3..
i used to do vlan tagging with a cisco ruter and that worked well...
any idea's...
i've solved the problem for now, by using the qos rules for the most important traffic.. with the qos rule for ping on the pings are normal again...
