netmask error in network def. config

Ok, I was designated an iprange and subnet mask like 6 months ago and have had no trouble with my current firewall, but this firewall is not enough.  When trying to setup my network definitions for each server (in a datacenter on a workgroup) I get this error  "Netmask xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx does not make sense with base address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. "  I get the same error when I try to set my internal network definitions also.

I'm using ASL 4.0.  Any suggestions?

    That error should mean just what it says, the network you specified doesn't make sense with the netmask.  If you are setting up a single host than the mask is 255.255.255.255.  If you want an actual network than you have to specify the true network such as 192.168.1.128/255.255.255.128 is right but 192.168.1.200/255.255.255.128 is wrong.
    Google an online subnet calculator or download one and you can find the networks you really need.

    Get 'IP Subnet Calculator' from  Wildpackets  (freeware).
    It's a nice tool !!

    And, if you want more specific answer, you should provide more specific information
