Traceroute

Will traceroute ever work passing through the ASL without getting * * * for the ASL? I would like to get the one of the Interface on the ASL.
I would appreciate any information.

turn on 'ICMP on firewall' in the packit filter section of WebAdmin

I have turned on ICMP and opened up my rules base to allow all traffic.

Any other ideas?

for v2.x: no
for v3.x and higher it should work...

in case you use v3.x or beta, please tell me from what kind of system you start the traceroute...

I am using 2.x and coming from Redhat Linux 7.2 and 8.0, Win2k, and WinXP.

Should I upgrade? I have a Pentium 200 MMX with 128MB. If the system can handle it I will upgrade, but if not I can wait until I get a box with a litle more juice.

I'm running 3.216 at home on a P5 166 MMX 64MB.

It works fine for my cable modem, and is no slower than 2.x; maybe even faster.
