Hi all!
I am also hit by the accounting restart bug with low traffic. As soon as I turn off all computers within the local network, accounting is constantly restarting. I'm just discarding the notification mail, so this wouldn't be that hard, but my problem is that with every accounting restart the account log is cleared, so I don't get any traffic at all in my accounting reports.
During the day the log in /var/log/account/net-acct is constantly being filled, and I get very reasonable reports with the nacctdreport.pl script when executing it manually, but the gzipped files in /var/log/accounting/ are empty.
Is there any script that I can edit to circumvent the deletion of the log file when restarting the accounting? With that workaround accounting would at least produce _some_ results, which I would absolutely need. Right now accounting is quite useless if it simply deletes old log files. Astaro 2.x accounting did at least work correctly, and right now I have no chance but reinstall the old version (which I really don't want - I love the new features).
Yours,
Karl
