Using FTP with Implicit SSL

I am using the latest Version of astaro. 3.2011 I think that is. I am trying to connect to a server using implicit SSL. The problem at the moment is, that both, the server and me, sit behind a NAT firewall. I can connect to the server but as soon as any data transfer is started nothing happens. Regardless of aktive or passive mode. I am not sure if this problem can be solved if I understand the way SSL over FTP works. If I am wrong and there is a way to make this work, please let me know. I have not set up any special rules and I cant fined any droped packages, what I think is rather wired.

Any help apreciated. If more info ist needed let me know.

    As far as I know, secureFTP isn't too much different from anything else except socket layers and ports being a little different.  How is ASL configured and how are you trying to connect to it and on what OS are you using for secureFTP?
