ADSL Connection

i have a bridge adsl connection from my service provider , how do i connect astaro OS to it , I tried by giving eth1 adapter external ip address and subnetmask plus gateway address  , but the adsl modem did not connect to it. Further more how do i enable packet forwarding in astaro.

    two basic things...

    1) do you have a static ip address from your provider or is it DHCP?

    2)have you tried changing the NIC card on eth1?

    i know these sound simple but it is always easier to start here...with the basics before going into more complex diagnostics
