eMule and ASL 3.210?

Hi everybody!

I tried to get the open Source eMule-Client (http://emule.sourceforge.net) to work but I think there is a problem with NAT/Masquerading.

The application is unreachable although the Port Filter rule is
Any-Source*Any-Service*Any-destination.

Does anybody know the solution to that problem?

I had the idea that Masquerading doesn't work.
I think it runs if I use Port-Forwarding.

ASL should be functioning as a router in that case.

Can anyone help me with that because I am a newbie.

How do I configure something like that?

    Where do I adjust the DNAT?
    In the same menu where Masquerading is configured?

    Could you tell me the detailed way to adjust the Firewall?

    Is that the way you can get Netmeeting to work too?

    Masquerading is on and configured.

    My local network is 192.168.2.0.
    The Host-IP is 192.168.2.2.
    (Subnetmask 255.255.255.0)

    Has the D(estination)NAT to be added to the Masquerading?

    Other webaccess is working?
    i mean - your 192.168.2.2 needs your ASL as default-gateway (i guess 192.168.2.1 up to 192.168.2.254 but not 192.168.2.2 ;-)

    If you want incoming connections allowed,
    you should define DNAT rule(same window as masq)
    just select type, then you can enter everything.

      I have the same problem and I don't know how to define the SNAT/DNAT rule.

    Could someone post the steps I have to follow plz?
    My LAN: 192.168.1.0
    emule IP: 192.168.1.12

    Works fine here.

    Make a serviceGroup in definitions:
    4661:4665 tcp/udp = emule (easiest)
    Better choose every Port by itself later.

    DNAT Rule should look like that:

    Name   Match parameters   SRC translation   DST translation   Actions   
      DNAT_Emule_Emuleserver   Any -> TDSL_Interface__ / Emule   None   Emuleserver

    You have to make a rule easwell to let the traffic pass the firewall to your Emuleserver:

    Any->Emule->Emuleserver>Allow

    emule ist not working fine :-(

    Here my settings:

    NAT:
    Client_Legolas_EMULE   Any -> DSL_Interface__ / EMULE   None   Client_Legolas_Patrick 

    and

    Client_Legolas_MASQ   Client_Legolas_Patrick -> All / All   MASQ__DSL   None 

    Packet Filter:
    Client_Legolas_Patrick Any Any Allow 

    and

    Any EMULE Client_Legolas_Patrick Allow 

    The Service EMULE is defined as:
    EMULE any 4661:4665 4661:4665 

    http://www.thedonkeynetwork.com/connection_test?port=4662 is successfull.

    But the time for connecting to server is very long and downloading is very slow.

    Any ideas ???

    i solved the Problem... I made a mistake in the Service Configuration for EMULE.
