Implict Rules for Packet Filter????

Hi !

i have enabled the SMTP relay. However, I did not allow SMTP (TCP port 25) on my packet filter list. But a scan shows port 25 opened!! So I suspect there are overrides? How can I REALLY know what is happening?

    In order for mail to get sent the server will listen on port SMTP to forward mail to your internal server. If you do not have an internal mail server turn off the SMTP proxy as it will not do you any good if you have a ANY ANY outboud ALLOW rule wich will allow you send SMTP and use POP to get mail. Of course if you use SMTP Virus Scanning you must have SMTP proxy.
