Astaro's first use

Hi!

I'm new with astaro firewall, have some experience with the Winroute (windowz).
Having trouble finding out the following:

Installed Astaro with 2 NICs. 
eth0 for the internal network IP 192.168.1.100,
network mask 255.255.255.0 (do I have to set a gateway here? I thought not, because Astaro is my gateway to the internet?)
eth1 for my cable modem, IP from DHCP

What do I have to configure with my clients at the TCP/IP protocol assuming that I have static IP adresses?

Do I Have to use the proxy server from Astaro, or can I surf the internet without using the proxy?

Is there anything to do on the firewall before I can surf? I think finetuning will be a problem for later  [;)]

    You have a good bit of questions.  I would recommend reading the manual first then come back and ask a few questions.  Not trying to sound mean or anything but it would take awhile for anyone to really answer them and the manual is very well written.

    You will need to make some modifications to Astaro before you can surf the internet.

    Yes you do NOT have to use the HTTP Proxy to surf the internet.  However it is recommended.
